- Many California Teachers could lose their jobs as school districts scramble to cut about  204 million dollars, or 5 percent, from their budgets amid a mounting state budget crisis.

- School officials say they have mulled options including laying off teachers, increasing class size, cutting security guards and eliminating music programs.

- State law requires that school districts approve budgets in June, but they must give layoff notices to teachers in danger of losing their positions by March 15

Michaelangelo Virus Strikes

Concerns over the Michelangelo virus sparked a scare among everyone from personal computer users to world governments. As many as 5 million computers reportedly were at danger of contracting the virus, set to erase data on the March 6 anniversary of the artist's birth. In fact, Michelangelo spread to only a few thousand machines.

What is a computer virus? How does it spread? What can you do to avoid it?

Bill Shannon suffers from a rare disorder that affects the top of his thigh bone where it meets the hip joint. He needs to use crutches to keep him mobile but that hasn’t stopped him from becoming a performing artist with a uniquely, beautiful dance style.
